VYRE 3 | SV Szlachta

In the immersive installation VYRE, a powerful AI has learned to learn and left the Faraday cage of the laboratory. It combines electronic databases with organic knowledge formations, evaluates, influences and continuously generates new outputs. At breathtaking speed, the network is accumulating knowledge and moving out of the realm of human logic and perceptual ability. But how far are we willing to move away from being human? Fused with technology, in symbiosis with fungi, plants and animals, in self-experiments with hormones and hallucinogens, the protagonists of VYRE wrestle with the traditional concepts of being human. How attached are we to ourselves? Are we willing to cede decision-making power to an entity that simply decides better than we ever could?

VYRE 3 is the third part of a series about the fictional start-up VYRE. In a spatial installation consisting of three walk-through VR installations and two sound installations, SV Szlachta negotiates entanglements of humans, nature and technology as well as concepts of transhumanism.

Premiere: 26.06.2021 (27.6.&1.-4.7.21) / Wartenau 16 / Lichthof Theater / Hamburg
