"The Precinct for the Supervised Disbandment of the Police" is a ten-day container installation on Hansaplatz in St. Georg, Hamburg. Together with people who are affected by police violence, state harassment, racist controls and discriminatory legislation, SV Szlachta begins to dissolve the Hamburg police. While the "old guys" from police station 11 continue to patrol Hansaplatz, the audience at DAS REVIER puts on uniforms themselves and opens the investigation against the institutions of the Hanseatic city. Where was the general public when Achidi John and Yaya Jabbi were murdered? Which law enforcement agencies refuse to work when it comes to holding Olaf Scholz accountable for his crimes? How can basic rights be fairly distributed and violence horizontalised? What comes after police society? Around the container installation designed by Mother, the performance action interrupts the public order of the "Hansaplatz danger zone" for ten days. On the project website www.dasrevier.org, video artist Lion Frenster publishes an anti-crime series on THE REVIER. In addition, the action will be accompanied by a multi-part workshop programme organised by Janis Jirotka and Josephine Akinyosoye.
